# Fading Post-Acne Dark Spots with Neutralyze

> How salicylic and mandelic acid help fade post-acne marks and hyperpigmentation, and why sunscreen is non-negotiable.

Post-acne dark spots (post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation) fade fastest with gentle, consistent exfoliation plus sun protection.

* **Mandelic acid** is widely regarded as one of the most pigmentation-friendly exfoliating acids, making it well suited to darker skin tones where marks linger.
* **Salicylic acid** keeps pores clear so new breakouts (and new marks) are prevented while old ones fade.
* All three Neutralyze products contribute; the leave-on formats (Pads, Renewal Complex) do the most fading work.

<Warning>
  Daily SPF 30+ is essential. Sun exposure darkens marks faster than any product can fade them.
</Warning>

Deep or pitted scarring is structural, not pigment, and is best addressed by a dermatologist.
